We’ve got a thing for New York City. We’ve also got a penchant for rooftop weddings. So when you combine the two of them, we’re ALL ABOUT IT. And that’s exactly what today is — a rooftop wedding in NYC!! Lindsey + Greg had one modern, super colorful, and insanely cool extravaganza. Before even touring the venue, L+G knew that Studio 450 was the one. The entire venue, top to bottom, was a crisp, clean white and both floors were lined with giant windows that opened up to surreal views of the New York City skyline. And there was a rooftop!
Lindsey: “We wanted the overall look for our wedding to be lively and fun; to reflect our personalities. I had so, so, so many décor ideas (darn Pinterest!) to create an atmosphere that was open, airy with a laid-back tropical vibe: lavish with palms and vivid pops of coral, teals, shades of pinks and of course gold + rose gold. After many a night cruising the internet for inspiration, we realized that every wedding, every rental company, every venue and vendor we had liked was located in California. And although NYC has almost limitless possibilities of food, culture and entertainment, we just couldn’t find exactly what we were looking for on this side of the country. So, we decided to bring the West Coast to the East Coast and Jesi Haack Design + planner The Love Riot made our “Palm Springs meets Concrete Jungle” vision come to life!”.
Love this backdrop!!
How incredible is that rooftop view? And all the ghost chairs!
We’re definitely getting the California-inspired vibes from this gorgeous invitation suite by Prim & Pixie.
All the feels!
Lindsey majorly scored — her dress is from ASOS and she got it on sale for $100!! How awesome is that?! Her glam shoes are from Ted Baker.
The way all the color pops in the all-white room is TOO GOOD.
Lindsey tells us After a lot of searching, we had finally found the perfect tables for our reception that not only didn’t require linens, but also were not made of wood. Unfortunately, they were outlandishly expensive to rent and we were back to square one… Until we found a 2nd rental company, in Massachusetts, that carried them and were reasonably priced. Well, long and stressful story short, the tables never showed up (arghhh!) and we had nothing to seat 135 guests at. Well, our wonderful planners scrambled to fix the situation just minutes before our (already delayed) reception was about to begin. The feeling of elation, relief and joy was so memorable and I couldn’t help but cry and run around the room hugging every person that was working.
