A rustic stone land wedding in Lofou!

The thing I love most about what we do is that we get to work with the most incredible people at the happiest time of their lives.

All of our clients are so different to one another, but they all have one thing in common: an eye for style and a desire to have ‘the most fun ever’ on their wedding day!

So what to expect from a Lebanese Groom & an American Bride who are living in Qatar? To create an inclusive and laidback day full of love and fun!

Gorgeous bride Nicole envision of an outdoor wedding in a beautiful location somewhere in the mountains, so once Joe proposed to her, finding an outdoor venue was essential and Apokryfo fit the specifications with it’s beautiful stone houses, full of trees and gardens full of flowers.

The style was rustic with glamour touches and a rich, bold color palette. We were asked to create a celebration that felt rustic, relaxed whilst retaining a sense of occasion with touches of luxury.

Guests were coming from different countries, so it was important for us to mix the two heritages and share it with their guests – themselves having different backgrounds.

Apokryfo hotel was the ideal venue to accommodate this type of event. Apokryfo comes from the Greek ‘”hidden away…. kept secret”
a fitting name for this secluded property.
Apokryfo is a unique hideaway located at the edge of the picturesque village of Lofou, Cyprus. This boutique hotel is made up of a cluster of old stone houses that have been painstakingly renovated.

We designed a celebration that focused on feasting and merriment building to a fun party atmosphere in the evening. With creative and stylish touches to celebrate the couples love of adventure and elegance.

The bespoke stationery suite, designed in-house, set the tone with its color and fonts selection.  The same concept was used across the printed elements such as the seating arrangement, a foil letter-pressed menu, the welcome sign, the wedding ceremony sign etc.

The ceremony took place in a magical yard of an old traditional mansion built of stone, setting with the ancient trees and flowers as backdrop. To complement the natural setting, we have created an unstructured flower arrangement placed on the door behind the ceremony spot with the entrance marked by a little whimsical touch. A wedding ceremony sign was added on the entrance of the “Archontiko” house decorated with flowers and greeneries.

Guests moved to the ‘cocktail-garden’, a beautiful setting for them to kick back and enjoy the summer sunshine while the couple was used the amazing set up of the hotel to have a photo shoot.

We carefully chosen furniture, cutleries, and linens to complement the table design. Traditional Olive oil was selected to be the guests gift decorated with raffia and a thank you note.

The party flowed throughout the evening included a special surprise by the groom, beautiful speeches and a lot of fun!

Champagne & Strawberries team sourced and managed a dream team of suppliers to bring their vision to life, overseeing the onsite build and ensuring the seamless flow of beautiful wedding weekend.
