THE BRIEF //
The couple wanted their wedding to have a romantic, vintage feel, but still maintain a classic look.
Our vision for the flowers, was to have a romantic, pretty and natural feel. We adored the palette of beautiful muted, neutral shades (including blush and pastel peach).
THE WORK //
The couple chose one of our favorite places, for the ceremony and reception. We really wanted the wedding to be simple, classic and timeless and the setting really enabled us to do that by picking minimal decor and letting the venue set the tone. Galu by the sea made the perfect backdrop for celebrating their sweet love story.
For our tablescape, we chose the plain white tablecloth with an unstructured floral centerpiece include a big white candle in the middle, complement with candles in gold mercury glasses, a polished and delicate pink rose and silk pouch with the loukoumi was placed on the napkins.
The couple wanted to give their guests something they’re really going to use. That’s why we thought of a liqueur, with a personalized bottle and a color that will match the couple’s wedding concept design and palette. We had the couple’s initials printed on the bottle along with a thank you note.
The scenery was beautiful in itself so we wanted to add little touches to the natural ambiance – the sunset, sea. We had white furniture arranged in lounge areas with candles and simple white curtains on each gazebo that complement the backdrop of the venue. It felt special, but not too formal. Surrounding the tables with bistro lights, along with different heights of candles and lanterns, all lit up the dance floor and night sky!
The various elements were inspired to reflect the couple’s own fun + lighthearted personalities. For the candy table we used alternative sweet bites and nuts decorated with flowers and candles placed in the center of the backdrop by the sea, in combination with a lovely Wish Table for their guests to share their wishes and photos, taken by Polaroid cameras! A wooded vintage sign with simple unstructured greeneries was created to welcome the guests and find their seat.
Golden frames were placed throughout the venue, some on the bar including the cocktail menu, some on the candy table, on the wish table, and some other including the hashtag of the wedding for the guests to use.
The actual ceremony took place at St Prokopios Church, Metochi Kykkou.
The ceremony was followed by drinks and nibbles, and a stunning sunset at Galu — one of our favorite moments of the day, by the sounds of the saxophone, creating a cool vibe.
Highlights of the evening, maid of honor singing one of the couples’ favorite songs, and best man’s toast which was one of the best we ever heard, we didn’t know whether to laugh or cry.
Love Kay x
